Forest green and fire red — a time capsule from Buffalo's golden era of Minor League Baseball. The crown and flat visor are a deep forest green, with a matching dark green top button, giving the hat a clean, monochromatic silhouette. The front panel carries the iconic late-1990s–2000s Buffalo Bisons logo: a full-color Buster T. Bison in a white baseball uniform diving headfirst into home plate, with "Bisons" arched above in bold red script trimmed in gold and dark green drop shadow. Flip the brim and you're met with a vivid red under visor — a flash of color that turns every adjustment into a statement. On the left side, the embroidered MiLB patch sits in a white-bordered rectangle, rendered in red, green, and white against the dark wool — sharp and detailed at full close-up.

This hat lives in the sweet spot between 1998 and 2008, when the Bisons were running out their green-and-red identity at Sahlen Field — the first "classic retro" ballpark in America, built before Camden Yards, and still the highest-capacity Triple-A park in the country. Buffalo drew over 1.2 million fans in a single season, a Minor League record that still stands. Wearing this hat isn't just repping a team — it's repping a city that loved its baseball loud and proud, long before the term "Triple-A" meant a pit stop. The sliding Buster logo is gone from modern Bisons merch, which makes an authentic New Era 59Fifty from this era a legitimate collector's piece. This is the real thing.

How to Wear It

The Streetwear Edit
Dark green wool against a washed-out olive army jacket and a cream or off-white heavyweight tee underneath. Pair with Nike SB Dunk Low "Gorge Green" or the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Pine Green" for a seamless color story, then anchor everything with dark indigo straight-leg denim. The red under visor gives you a reason to tilt the brim up just enough to let it show — that's the flex.

Her Way
A forest green satin slip dress or deep olive wide-leg trousers with a fitted white ribbed tank. Let the hat pull the whole look together — the red under visor echoes a red lip or burgundy nail perfectly. Finish with Nike Air Max 1 "Treeline" or New Balance 574 in green and cream, and a tan suede mini bag. This colorway does the work quietly — no need to shout.

The Collector's Eye
The sliding Buster logo ran from 1998 to 2008 — a tight ten-year window — and current Bisons branding has moved entirely away from this colorway and mascot pose. An authentic New Era 59Fifty from that era in unworn condition is not a hat you find at a vintage shop. The green-red-gold palette, the MiLB patch, the red under visor, the clean wool body: these are the details that separate a fitted collection from a hat rack. Stack it with an era-matched Yankees black or an early-2000s Mets alternate and you've got a shelf that tells a story.
