The Buffalo Bisons' charging mascot hits different when it glows. Stone crown, charcoal grey visor — this 59Fifty runs a two-tone that stays clean in daylight and completely transforms after dark, with the iconic sliding Bisons mascot lighting up aqua green under UV or in a dark room. The front logo is a full embroidered scene: the "BISONS" wordmark in gold lettering with red outline sits over a teal shadow block, the cartoon bison charging through motion-streak lines with rich multicolor detail. Under the brim is a teal aqua liner — the color that gives this hat its secret weapon. On the left side panel sits the MiLB batterman patch, embroidered in gold, teal, and red on a stone wool field. New Era 59Fifty sticker still on the visor.

Buffalo's Triple-A ball has roots going back to the 1880s — one of the oldest minor league markets in the country, now the Toronto Blue Jays' top affiliate at Sahlen Field. But the team's mascot art, that low-slung charging bison about to take out a second baseman, is pure vintage cartoon energy that translates way outside baseball. A glow-in-the-dark variant of that logo is the kind of thing that makes serious collectors stop scrolling. You're not chasing a World Series patch or a retired logo — you're chasing a moment when New Era went weird with it, produced something that literally switches modes in the dark, and then mostly moved on. This is a 7 1/2, one hat, and it's not coming back.

How to Wear It

The Streetwear Edit
Stone and charcoal pairs naturally with the tonal palette that's been running through Jordan 1 Lows, New Balance 992s in grey, and ASICS Gel-NYC colorways. Build around an olive or ecru cargo pant, a heavyweight washed tee, and a coaches jacket in navy or charcoal. The multicolor logo on the front handles the visual complexity — keep the rest grounded. This fits the low-key hype aesthetic: nothing screaming, but anyone who knows, knows.

Her Way
Stone crown fitteds have had a strong run in women's styling — the neutral base works over a fitted ribbed long-sleeve, barrel-leg denim, and chunky white sneakers like the New Balance 530 or Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66. Tuck the shirt, let the hat do the talking. The teal under brim catches light when the brim tilts up. The glow element is a conversation piece you pull out when the lights go down — that kind of hat has personality.

Color Theory
This one is built around a reveal. During the day it reads as a clean stone-and-charcoal fitted with a loud vintage logo — already a strong stand-alone. But under UV at a show or in a dark room, the mascot activates in aqua green and the whole hat shifts identity. Pair it with a black washed tee, dark denim, and gum-soled sneakers — something that doesn't compete so the hat lands when the lights drop. The teal under brim and the MiLB side patch both tie back to that aqua palette and reward anyone who looks close enough to notice the layering.
